PTC PROGRAMS & EVENTS

NEW STUDENT PICNIC– Every fall, the Cedar Park PTC funds a welcome celebration for all new incoming students and their parents.  Food is provided and school tours are available.

GRADE LEVEL SOCIALS– Each grade is given a student social at the end of each semester, organized by parent volunteers.  The PTC funds food, a DJ, and other fun party activities to make these events something the students won't forget.  6th grade typically enjoys their social at the very end of their school day.  The 7th and 8th grade socials are held right after school.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT– This annual spring tradition is a night of fun activities for the entire family.

STAFF APPRECIATION– The Cedar Park PTC provides various catered events for the Cedar Park staff throughout the year.   Additionally, parents donate food items to the monthly themed events and keep the coffee stock at full capacity.

8th GRADE HONORS BREAKFAST– Held before school during the last month of the school year, this breakfast is organized by PTC volunteers.  Cedar Park's Honors Students are given an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments with their families in attendance.

8th GRADE BBQ–  The PTC sends the 8th graders out in style by planning, staffing, and funding an end of year send-off every June.  Typically this event includes a DJ, food, and other party vendors and activities to celebrate themselves and say goodbye to CPMS.

ART LITERACY– The PTC provides volunteers and art supplies for three all-school art presentations in a school year.  Parent volunteers help organize and oversee each project within the classrooms.

OREGON BATTLE OF THE BOOKS– Volunteers moderate the team book battles during this annual reading tournament in January and February.

PACK STORE– The PACK store is a school-wide program, encouraging Perseverance, Acceptance, Courage, and Knowledge. Teachers reward students with tickets for participation, consideration, or any other positive action.  Students use those tokens to purchase some awesome prizes at the PACK Store, which is open every other Thursday during lunch hour.  Higher priced prizes will be raffled off.  This entire program is funded, organized, and staffed by the PTC.

STUDENT STORE– Each morning, the CPMS Student Store is open for business.  Students can purchase school supplies, PE t-shirts, and other various items before the first bell.  The Student Store is organized and staffed by PTC volunteers.

STUDENT PLANNERS– Every year, the PTC covers the cost of daily planners for every CPMS student.
