Help Desk: A Stay at Home Play by Don Zoldis

When you call the help desk, you're looking for a solution - but your problems might just be beginning. Whether you're getting shamed about your inability to log in, giving your credit card information to a scammer, or having serious conversations with a clown, customer service calls spiral into absurdity for the customers and employees alike in this hilarious comedy (via playscripts.com)

4 A.M. -Stay-at Home Edition by Jonathan Dorf

What's it like to be awake when the rest of your world is asleep? Meet an early-morning jogger, a radio DJ whose show may have an audience of none, a modern Romeo and Juliet, the author of a most unusual letter, and many other teen characters as they search for connection in the magic hour. Through a series of connected scenes and monologues, join them on their journey as they discover whether the monster under the bed is real and collectively wonder...is there anybody out there? (via playscripts.com)

YOUR MONEY AT WORK: Remote Learning Science & Art Kits

Screen Shot 2020-09-30 at 1.09.51 PM.png

PTC funds continue to buoy Cedar Park students. PTC funds were used to help purchase the supplies for 900+ science kits (for every student) and 400+ art kits (for every art student) this semester.

The newly proposed 2020-21 budget will increase these line items, ensuring another round of supplies will be available (if need be) for second semester. This revised budget is up for approval at tonight’s PTC Community Meeting.

Huge thanks to last year's 5K donors that have made these early transactions possible. Look for more info soon regarding this year's fundraising campaign.

PTC Board Proposes Revised 2020-21 Budget; Vote to Approve on 10/7

Last spring, your PTC Board made their best guess as to the budgetary needs of Cedar Park in 2020-21. That budget was approved in June 2020.

However, after reviewing our current CDL situation this September, the PTC Board proposes a revised budget to be approved at the next PTC Community Meeting on Wed, 10/7 at 6:30pm. This revised budget better reflects the current needs of Cedar Park students and staff.

Major revisions of note:

  • Reduction of fundraising goal & fundraising expenses

  • Increase in Library Support to purchase additional more durable hard copy books

  • Reduction of Pack Store line item (to reflect first quarter in CDL)

  • Elimination of New Student Welcome & Family Fun event budgets

  • Reduction of grade level experience line items

  • Increase in remote learning Art Boxes & Science Kits

Dive into the nitty gritty details of the proposed changes HERE.
