Cedar Park Board Game Drive

One of the best and most fun ways Cedar Park staff connect with students and build relationships in the Advisory program is to play games. CPMS dedicates one advisory period each month specifically to connect with kids, and we need opportunities to do that.

This December, Cedar Park is asking you to clean out your hall closets and search your basements for family friendly games to donate to CPMS. Think Jenga, Operation, Uno, Sorry - you know, the classic games you remember playing as a kid.

Please donate your gently used or new games to our front office; we'll make sure they all get a home.

Don't forget to ask your students about game days in Advisory!

PTC Seeks New Treasurer

The Cedar Park PTC is looking for a new treasurer.

Mark Chen stepped down due to work travel commitments. Our former treasurer, Tonya Stevens, is graciously filling the position until someone steps in. We would like to find someone who can be trained by Tonya right away and continue on into next year.

The PTC uses Quicken; perhaps you already have experience?

Please contact Jana Drotzmann at janadrotzmann@comcast.net if you are interested. Working on the Cedar Park PTC board and supporting the Cedar Park staff is a fun and rewarding experience.

Thank you for your consideration.

Meet Richard Rusch, Cedar Park's first Campus Supervisor

Screen Shot 2018-11-15 at 12.19.20 PM.png

Mr. Richard Rusch has been an excellent addition to CPMS this fall as our first Campus Supervisor. Mr. Rusch can be found monitoring the hallways and lunch times, managing the chaos while building a repoire with the students. A former Cedar Park bus driver, Mr. Rusch already knew many of our students when he began working here in August. Before education, Richard was a long-time police officer.

Cedar Park staff member, Katelynn Hitsman has been impressed, sharing, "Mr. Rusch has began making wonderful connections with our students and is making an impact on their attendance, behavior and daily lives."
